1 in 5 Ontarians have no insurance coverage for prescription medicines. This means people get sick with preventable illnesses and end up in the ER and the hospital, which is incredibly expensive.
Expanding access to prescription medications will prevent disease progression and reduce preventable death among Ontarians. It is a cost-effective policy that would keep people out of hospital and let us reallocate money to other programs.
